Award Plaques 

We offer three new plaque designs.  The plaques have a coped edge which provides a more elegant look.  All plaques are milled to display the highly recognizable Arrow of Light®.  The plaques are 23.5 in. x 5.5 in. x 3/4 in. and the milled grooves are approximately 1/8 in. deep.  This provides a high contrast between the Arrow of Light® and the plaque.  The plaque has two key hole slots cut into the back so hanging the award is easy. 

The three award plaques that we offer are solid oak, solid walnut and walnut veneered maple.  Our oak award is made from premium red oak and meant to be stained, finish and painted.  Our solid walnut award only needs a clear coat of finish since walnut's natural color does not need any stain to show off its grain.  Also, this is such a great looking piece of wood that we don't even recommend painting the ray.  The option to paint the ray is still there if that look is preferred.  The walnut veneered maple is a truly unique design.  We took high quality walnut veneer and laminated it to clear maple.  The ray is then cut allowing the bright maple to shine through the walnut.  The award only needs a clear coat finish to bring out the beautiful contrast.
 

Career Arrows

The arrows are made from Port Oxford Cedar shafts that are 28" long.  You can choose between two types of arrowheads.  We carry one that is hand carved from bone and another hand knapped from stone.  Both types of arrowheads are authentic and unique.  The feathers are real wild turkey feathers and all items are held on with artificial sinew for a fantastic appearance.  Even better is that these arrows have a man made (slightly imperfect) look to them and they actually could be fired from a real bow.

Vinyl Career Striping Kit

We also offer a Vinyl striping kit that makes marking the career bands easier by using a vinyl tape to mark the boy's scouting career.  These kits come with complete instructions and enough bands to cover all awards.
